Hosting on GitHub Pages

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the site, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time and the requested address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: I have a legitimate interest in offering the site securely and reliably.

Data may be transferred to the USA. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More in GitHub’s privacy statement.

No cookies, no analytics

I set no cookies and use no analytics or tracking.

Light/dark and language

When you switch the color scheme or the language, your browser remembers the choice in local storage (localStorage). It stays on your device and is not sent to me or anyone else. This is permitted under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG because it is needed for the function you asked for. You can clear it in your browser at any time.

Fonts

All fonts are served from this server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or other providers.

Links to LinkedIn or GitHub are plain links. Only when you click one do you leave this site; then the privacy policy of that provider applies.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I use your details only to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Just send me an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
